Bethany College Alumni Association

Students who have completed at least one academic semester at Bethany are eligible for membership in the Bethany College Alumni Association. The association is committed to supporting the college and its students through contributions of time, talents and dollars.

The association is led by a 11-member council, elected by written vote of current council members.

Alumni Council members serve three-year terms and may hold two terms consecutively. New members are elected at the spring meeting of the association. The council meets twice a year and engages in the life of the college year-round, supporting students through volunteer service, fundraisers, special events and staff advisement.


The BCAC is looking to fill the following positions;

Council Members

Join the Alumni Council

Bethany College Alumni Council members serve a three-year term. There are three officer positions (President, Vice President, and Secretary), and officer positions are two-year terms. Each member of the Alumni Council is expected to make a meaningful financial commitment to Bethany College every fiscal year.


BCAC meets as a large group at a minimum quarterly. Additional meetings may be scheduled as warranted. Outside of those meetings, additional work and meetings occur for the individual subcommittee that you may serve on. 


BCAC is split up into three subcommittees: Communications, Events & Engagement, and Giving. Below is a brief description of each subcommittee:

  • Communications: Discover and implement channels to communicate and connect with Alumni and Friends of Bethany College
  • Assist in managing and supporting the Class Agent Program
  • Explore and expand channels of communication with Alumni
  • Establish and strengthen lines of communication between Alumni and various departments of the college
  • Promote Alumni Events and Fundraising
  • Events & Engagement: Plan, organize, and execute both on-campus and off-site annual alumni events and gatherings. Support other subcommittees in planning, organizing and executing events both on and off campus.
  • Assist the Advancement/Alumni office and staff with alumni events and gatherings. 
  • Giving: Build excitement among alumni and friends to give back to Bethany College in different ways. 
  • Energize alumni and friends of Bethany College to find ways to give back to the college through gifts of money, time, service and talents.
  • Promote the number of college alumni and friends giving year over year
  • Key facilitator and face of the Bethany Backers campaign
  • Support and promote flash campaigns
